Trailer Sailing is sheer exitement  or total relaxation – your choice in a real Beale Boat.

This fast, trailerable keel yacht is capable of out performing many larger boats yet it has all the necessary features for enjoyable cruising, unlike many high performance yachts. It can be built in any modern construction medium e.g. cedar strip plank sheathed in fibreglass or foam/fibreglass.

The rig is modern high aspect.

A feature of this type of yacht is the ability to high speed plane down wind, even on a beam reach, (making for very exciting sailing) while still having extremely good handling characteristics. Gennakers (set from pivoting, retractable prod) are more suitable than spinnakers for this type of sailing.

As with all Beale Boats the shape gives good heeled hull form and ease of control. The interior features comfortable berths, a compact galley and separate W.C. compartment allowing for enjoyable, fast cruising.

Auxillary power is from an outboard mounted on a pivoting bracket that brings the motor forward, when retrieved, to house in a cockpit floor compartment.
